To mark World Food Day 2025, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency has released a new video developed in close collaboration with the MICROBIOMES4SOY project. The film highlights how European research contributes to more resilient and sustainable soya production systems.
The video provides an overview of:
-
advances in sustainable, non-GM soya cultivation with improved environmental performance,
-
the contribution of research and innovation activities to strengthening European soya value chains,
-
the role of LegumeHub Europe as an open-access knowledge platform for legumes, and
-
the work of key researchers involved in MICROBIOMES4SOY, including Jasmin Karer (Donau Soja), doctoral researcher Anastasija Jušković and project coordinator Angela Sessitsch (AIT Austrian Institute of Technology)
By connecting scientific findings with practical applications, MICROBIOMES4SOY supports the EU Food 2030 objectives and contributes to building resilient, inclusive, and knowledge-driven food systems across Europe.
