Dear GPZ members, dear colleagues,
as announced before, we invite you to the upcoming German Plant Breeding Conference 2026, which will take place from September 1 to 3, 2026, at Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg.
During the conference, current topics from research and application in plant breeding will be presented and discussed in eight consecutive sessions. Each session will open with an invited keynote lecture, followed by a series of related state-of-the-art talks in plant breeding. The conference will be accompanied by constant poster presentations of the participants. To promote the exchange of ideas and social networking, the conference will offer a buffet dinner on the first evening in the historic beer garden “Krug zum Grünen Kranze” (with a picturesque view of the Saale River) and a cozy get-together barbecue on the second evening.
Information on the program and registration can be found on the GPZ homepage at https://gpz-online.de/gpz-haupttagung/web/site/index.
The Local Organizing Committee and the Scientific Advisory Board are looking forward to welcome you in Halle!
Prof. Klaus Pillen
(President of the German Plant Breeding Society)
