Dr. Lars-Gernot Otto is a scientist at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) in Gatersleben, Germany. He studied Biology at the University of Kaiserslautern, and obtained his doctorate in Plant Breeding and Genetics at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg.
His scientific work focuses on breeding research, covering aspects of genetics, genomics, cytogenetics and plant breeding especially in legumes and medicinal and aromatic plants. Favorite legumes are common bean, pea and licorice.
